Training
Our training courses draw on the field experience of our staff and benefit from Groupe URD’s positioning at the crossroads between action and reflection. Courses can be given in French, English or Spanish and can take place either in France or abroad. They are aimed at professionals from the humanitarian sector and students (see Past training courses).
Our pedagogical approach involves continual dialogue between theory and practice. Case studies allow participants to understand the complexity of humanitarian contexts and learn to use tools which will help them adapt their working methods to field realities.
We run regular courses at our headquarters (see 2012 programme) and can also provide à la carte courses in the field . All our courses, whether general or sector-based, reflect Groupe URD’s innovative approach based on the continual questioning of aid practices.
As the quality of humanitarian operations is affected both by cross-cutting issues and sector-based skills, our courses cover both of these areas. Our aim is to strengthen the capacity of individuals, teams and organisations with original content based on field experience.
As Groupe URD is registered as a training organisation with the Rhône-Alpes prefecture, the fees of organisations which are members of an OPCA can be partially or totally covered.
